Day 2 in NYC was just as exciting as my first. I got up early in the morning and took a visit to Stiles farmers market. The quality and cheap prices of the fruit and vegetables were amazing, I’d love to have something like this in my neighbourhood in Seoul. Everyone talks about how expensive New York is, but there are definitely bargains to be had if you look for them.

I managed to get all of these goodies for a mere $23, considering I had a mango, avocado, 4 limes, oranges, ginger, grapes, bananas, strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, kale, celery, cucumbers, mint and cilantro I think I did very well indeed. This would have been 2-3 times as much in Seoul.

So after a healthy green smoothie and berry breakfast I set off to Times Square to meet my long lost friend Admir. I knew him from my Cheongju days and it it was wonderful catching up.

We took a visit to Central Park and had a wander round and took a picture with the famous angel fountain.

For lunch I had the famed chicken & rice from the Halal Guys food cart. I can’t believe how cheap this was, it was insane! Tasty spicy rice, chicken, and salad all smothered in hot sauce and creamy white sauce. Even though it doesn’t look all that pretty it tasted sensational. The best $7 I’ve ever spent!

We ended up drinking the night away at Posh in Hell’s Kitchen. They had a $5 all night happy hour and some ridiculously hot bar tenders. Suffice to say we had a very good time indeed, although possibly too much of a good time as I was feeling rather worse for wear this morning!
