O Shake is the luxuriously lovely new milkshake shop that has opened up in Itaewon. I first saw some of food porn pictures on instagram and after drooling over their spectacular shakes I went straight off to Itaewon to pay them a visit.

Located in the alley way behind the Hamilton hotel, O Shake is deceptively large, with the counter taking up the front of the store and all the seating in the back. Luckily the spot is still pretty new and was lacking a line, but with desserts that look as good as this I’m sure it wont be long before there is a permanent queue outside.

The menu is rather large and filled with different variations of milkshakes, cupcakes, and ice cream filled croissants. However there was only one thing that I wanted and that was the ridiculously decadent double shake. I opted for the Double Nutella Shake and my best foodie friend went for the Double Peanut-butter Shake.

The Double Nutella Shake (8,500) was as rich and sickly as it sounds. The rim is covered with a sweet and sticky chocolate sauce which is then adorned with pretzels. The thick Nutella milkshake is inside and topped with whipped cream, more Nutella, and a chocolate chip cookie just in case you needed a few more calories. I totally adored this shake and it certainly satisfied my Nutella cravings for the next month, in fact I’m still buzzing from the sugar rush.

The Peanut Butter Double Shake (8,500) was rimmed with lashings of peanut butter, and covered with peanut butter cookies. The creamy peanut butter shake inside was again topped with whipped cream, more cookies, more peanut butter, and crushed pretzels. If you regularly eat the best part of a jar of peanut butter in one sitting then this is the shake for you. Nutty and creamy it will make your claggy sweet toothed dreams come true.

It didn’t take us long to notice that one shake is pretty hard going and almost every other table just got one to share, but our greed got the better of us. These shakes certainly aren’t for the fainthearted so be sure to bring your A game to town if you plan on finishing one by yourself.

I adored this spot, and they are by far and away the best shakes I’ve ever had in Korea. As well as tasting great, they are decorated in a fun and frivolous way which is sure to have the churro mafia lining up for days to get that perfect pic for their Instagram account. So be sure to pop by and give them a try next time you are in need of dessert.

O Shake is located at 49, Itaewon-ro 27ga-gil, Yongsan-gu, Seoul. To get there take a train to Itaewon Station (line 6) and come out of exit 1. Walk straight and take the first right turn, walk to the end of the alley way and turn left keep walking straight down this road, you will see O Shake just up ahead on the right hand side.
